playjazzloud sessions Vol. 33
A new toy came in through the mail this weekend and after being on the wait list for over 3 months I'd almost forgot I even ordered the damn this. Please excuse the patchy mixing on this one, I basically pulled it out of the box like a 5 year old at X'mas and knocked out this mix. As I get to grips with it over the next few weeks things should play a little smoother. This week there's some dubstep from Kode9, latin from Buena Vista, house from Mark E, Africa, soul and jazz is covered too and there's more from the Broken Bells, yes they are great and PJL is happily and firmly on the bandwagon. It's the same with the Phoenix mixes, if they keep coming this good, I'll be playing them. Listen below or download from here.Al Green - Simply beautiful (Ex-Friendly Re-edit)
Kode9 - 9 Samurai
Matata - Love is the only way
DJ Mitsu The Beats - Playin' Again feat. Ivana Santill
Frankie Valentine - Marinheiro So feat. Monica Vasconce
Buena Vista Social Club - Dos Gardenias
Roy Gerson - If I Had You
Gladys Knight & The Pips - Love Is Always On Your Mind
Mark E - Nocturn
Phoenix - Fences (Friendly Fires Rmx)
Shina Williams & His African Percussionists - Agboju Logun
James Pants - The Eyes Of The Lord
Broken Bells - The Ghost inside
Runtime just over an hour.
This week's image taken while in South Africa last year. Strong message.
