AFRICA10 Soundtrack Inspirations

As some of you know we are working on what will hopefully be a great doc on African football (soccer) in the run up to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. We have a giant library of music we sample form to edit the film and on our Dipdive Channel we will be showcasing some of that great music every week. Here's a sample of some of the songs we've already posted. Enjoy!

Center of the world

It began in Africa. We were putting together some African tracks for a project so it seems like the perfect time to get put together a mix for your listening pleasure. Fela's "Water no get enemy" was the track that got us started on afro beat back in the day and although it's been hard to find a track to top it there is certainly an amazing amount of great African music out there. 3. The Souljazz Orchestra "Mista President"
4. George Akaeze & His Augmented Hits "Business Before Pleasure"

6. Cesaria Evora "Angola (Bateau Ivre Rework by Pepe Bradock)"
7. Tony Allen "Kilode" (Carl Craig silode straight mix)
8. Mulatu Astatke "Enmete"
9. Salah Ragab & the Cairo Jazz Band "Egypt Strut"
10. Tony Allen "Ole" (Cairo Version by Salah Ragab)
11. Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 "Many Things"
