playjazzloud sessions vol. 62

If you look at the track list you should know pretty much straight away I was in a very eclectic mood when I dropped this mix yesterday! You folks seem to like this (and please tell me if you don't) so it just pushes me to keep coming back with more. If you like your spiritual jazz please make sure to check John Blake Jr.'s new record "Motherless Child" and hopefully those open minded enough will check Janelle Monae's album from earlier this year where I've dropped what Gilles Peterson calls her Rotary Connection moment from the record, uttering beautiful and in this day and age of commercial music she is very brave. If you like a classical piano moment in your day then look for Ryuichi Sakamoto's new album "Playing the Piano." Enjoy this week's mix that is definitely more old than new stuff. Support good music and dig for these. Listen below, check out the iTunes podcast feed or download from here.

p.s. be sure to check our weekly shows on Radio Wienerwald Tuesdays 7am & 10pm CET (Central European Time) and repeated Wednesday 8pm, Thursday 11pm, and Friday 8pm all CET.
