It's finally here. December 2010 means its time to rewind the past 12 months and dig up all the great music that has made 2010 a bumper year for quality music. Right now I think it's going to be three mixes but I don't know the number of track I have left to spotlight is huge and three may not do it but we shall see hopefully I can edit myself down a bit.
This first section crosses all genres and the one defining aspect for 2010 seems to be the orchestral sound. Check out Janelle Monae, Arcade Fire, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Quantic etc the list goes on. There are going to be a few end of 2009 tracks creeping in here just cause I didn't get to some of these till the beginning of the year and couldn't include in last year's rewind podcasts. Enjoy and look out for the next few weeks as we wrap up the year in good music 2010. Listen right above, head to the MixCloud page, subscribe to the new iTunes podcast here or download it here. Also if you are interested in grabbing this mix in two "driving CD" sized pieces check this link for part 1 and this link for part 2.

wish you'd mixed them shorter... they would have made great driving cds :) (and my audio editing skills are no match for the task)
haha!
yeah there's just so much music that I had to just go for it and do 2 hr show just to get through everything :)
I can actually get you the mix split in two easily :) look out for the links soon.
here are links for this show split into two hour long sessions. better for those with driving CD needs!
